after a second powerful earthquake hit Japan.
The quake measured 7.3 on the Richter scale and hit near the city of
Kumamoto as it was still recovering from another earthquake on Thursday.
A tsunami alert was issued for the Ariake sea and Yatshushiro sea but
was later withdrawn.
At least two people are dead after two earthquakes struck southern
Japan. The initial magnitude 6.5 quake was followed by a second tremor
that was only slightly less powerful. But there was no danger of a
repeat of the Fukushima disaster five years ago.
